This is the Geberit protective plate , reference 241.343.00.1 , for the Geberit Delta 12 concealed cistern .

This plate allows several things
- Clamp the Delta 12 support block to the tank.
- Completely obstruct the opening of the tank, reducing the noise of the flush by 40%.

This part is often removed when installing the support frame, even though it's very important. (Yes, I'm reporting it 😘) If you find out you don't have one, I strongly advise you to get it.
