1- Evolution, 3rd generation

Take a good look at this mechanism, it’s the most advanced from Geberit.

Visually
Each blue element offers a function, there are 4 in total:
In the main photo, at the very top of the mechanism, you have the two brackets that fold down for better insertion into the wall-hung toilet. Behind you have a blue arm that allows you to attach it to the tank. The right slider adjusts the small flush. The left slider adjusts the large flush.
It's all very intuitive.

Its diameter
This mechanism has lost 1 cm in diameter compared to the old versions, which makes it easier to insert through the hatch.

The joint
This mechanism has a new seal which is sold as a kit: The essential trio type 212.

Water consumption
This Type 212 mechanism has the best water consumption setting… I’ll tell you about it right after.

2- Functionality

Water saving🩵
This mechanism allows you to adjust the large flush and the small flush.
With the largest adjustment range on the market.

Right Slider | Small Flush | Graduated from 10 to 22
You have to press the “clothes peg” and then move it up or down.
Landmark:20=3.57 Litersconsumption (factory preset to mark 20)
When you receive your mechanism, the small flush will consume a little more power.

Left Slider | Large Width | Graduated from 1 to 6
You have to go up or down the blue part.
Landmark:5=6.47 Liters(factory preset to mark 5)
Same for the big flush, it over-consumes, set it to mark 4. These water consumption results are mine, I filmed this test in my small study office.

The installation
To make installation easier, as I said above, you can lay down the 2 brackets to make it easier to insert them into the tank. Then attach the blue arm to the white arm of the tank.

4- Malfunction

Limestone
When the mechanism is too encrusted with limescale, it can jam.
And no longer correctly execute these small and large hunting movements.
(Basically, limescale is preventing the movement from going down.) I advise you to clean it well or replace it, if it is really in bad condition.

Successful repair
Successfully maintaining your Geberit wall-hung toilet is super simple. You need the right disassembly/reassembly guide and the corresponding spare parts. Lindsay and I managed to do just that by combining the two. To do this, simply identify your cistern by noting the reference number inside, then insert it into myGeberit search bar.
It takes 2 minutes!
