This mechanism with Geberit Typ 290 double flush basin , reference written on the mechanism: 838.424.00.0, 838.661.00.0 or 272.342. KG. 1 is designed for an identical replacement. It clips directly onto the basin remaining at the bottom of the cistern.

If you have the older generation of Geberit mechanism, type 280.
You can swap it out and clip it onto the old basin and keep it at the bottom of the tank (which avoids having to dismantle the tank).
