1. Evolution
   
   The Water Saving Kit 🩵
   I need to talk to you right away about your toilet flush. Your mechanism uses 9 liters of water every time you flush. That's a lot, even enormous... But at the time, it was the norm (creation date 1988). Today, Geberit is aware of this and has designed a kit that allows you to upgrade your toilet flush. The new water-saving kit replaces the mechanism with a 2-button flushing system:
   
   A small flush consuming 3 liters (standard) or 4 liters
   A large flush consuming 6 liters (standard) or 9 liters
   
   It is only natural for me to inform you of this development, because it allows us to make significant savings and appease our ecological conscience.
   This kit requires the replacement of the complete flush valve and the trim plate. Two plate finishes are available:
   
   Twinlline 12 water saving kit - white finishing plate
   Twinlline 12 water saving kit - matt chrome finish plate

   The installation
   Originally, this mechanism separated into two parts, the neck separated from the body with a rotation. Then, Geberit redesigned it. Now, the neck is telescopic, graduated from 210 to 370. After inserting it into your cistern,it will need to be set to mark 315.Which is easier to install.

3. Dysfunction
   
   Limestone
   When the mechanism is too encrusted with limescale, it can jam and no longer execute its flush movement correctly. (Basically, it hinders the descent of the movement). I advise you to clean it well or replace it if it is really in bad condition.

4. Successful repair
   Successfully maintaining your Geberit wall-hung toilet is super simple. You need the right disassembly/reassembly guide and the corresponding spare parts. Lindsay and I managed to do just that by combining the two. To do this, simply identify your cistern by noting the reference number inside, then insert it into myGeberit search bar. It takes 2 minutes.
