Geberit mechanism seal - Ref. 891.015.00.1 | Concealed WC 10.500, 10.520, 16.000

I have listed here the 3 symptoms requiring replacement of theGeberit sealing gasket:

1st symptom: Small bubbles form on the surface of the seal. These bubbles may look like a small blister on your hand. Their random placement interferes with the seal and causes a leak into the toilet bowl. This phenomenon is a defect. The only solution: replace the seal.

2nd symptom: The seal is whitish. The true "color" is transparent/opaque, but over time and with wear, the seal turns white. This condition is often accompanied by a ring of limescale that hinders the seal. As the seal surface is altered, limescale adheres more quickly, causing more regular leaks in the bowl. I advise you to replace it if you discover it in this condition.

3rd symptom: The gray seal ref.: 816.418. This reference is part of a black series from Geberit. It bubbles much more than the others, as in the first symptom. I do not recommend keeping this seal, even if it does not yet have bubbles.

This Geberit seal is installed in concealed cisterns (wall-hung toilets): Twinline 8, 10.700. It is also installed in exposed cisterns: AP125, AP025.
