1. Evolution
The resistance:
This Geberit float valve is resistant to rainwater and limescale.
Water level adjustment:
Your Geberit float valve should already be installed in your water-filled tank.
Using the white rod extending from the float valve, you can adjust the water level in the tank. At the top of this rod, you have a dial:
- If you turn it clockwise, you raise the water level.
- If you turn it counterclockwise, you lower the water level.
- Pulls mini-flush toilets to refresh the water level.
2. Features
Facility :
This Geberit float valve has the particularity of being fixed to the wall of the tank thanks to its fins and a small accessory to be recovered from the old float valve.
Silent :
Its design makes it one of the quietest on the market.
Repairability:
This float valve has been cleverly designed to allow easy access to the membrane. In addition, Geberit spare parts are available for 50 years.
3. Malfunctions
The tank fills very slowly:
If your tank takes a long time to fill, you need to replace the float valve diaphragm. It's probably torn. If your float valve is in poor condition, such as encrusted with limescale, you may want to consider replacing it entirely.
The filling does not stop:
The problem probably comes from the Geberit membrane.
Limestone:
When the float valve is too encrusted with limescale, it can become jammed and no longer perform the up-and-down movements of the float correctly. I advise you to clean it thoroughly or replace it if it is in really bad condition.
4. Successful Geberit maintenance
Successful repair
Successfully maintaining your Geberit wall-hung toilet is super simple. You need the right disassembly/reassembly guide and the corresponding spare parts. Lindsay and I managed to do just that by combining the two. To do this, simply identify your cistern by noting the reference number inside, then enter it into my Geberit search bar.
We stay in touch ;)
