If during maintenance of your Geberit wall-hung toilet, you noticed that your handwheel shut-off valve was not closing, impossible to turn, or completely blocked.
Or worse, it leaks when you handle it...
Or that it lets water through, even though it is completely closed.
You will see in this video, I will show you how to fix all these problems, by simply replacing the gland on your faucet.
But first, I need to know what your Geberit shut-off valve is?

Here is the perfect tutorial for repairing a Geberit handwheel shut-off valve
How to replace the packing gland of the Geberit handwheel shut-off valve?
-
Turn off the water to the general.
-
Remove the blue steering wheel by pulling on it.
-
Use our 16mm socket wrench required for this type of repair; unscrew the old stuffing box by turning the key clockwise. It will extract it. (Yes, the meaning is counterintuitive.)
-
When it is extracted, check that its O-ring is also removed.
-
Screw on the new gland , turning it counterclockwise . No need to squeeze extremely hard. That's it ;)
-
Finally, install the steering wheel by pushing it into the axle.
-
Turn on the water to the general.
Happy repairing everyone!
